Kyrou Signs with Blues
Sarnia Sting forward, Jordan Kyrou signed his first NHL contract with the St. Louis Blues earlier today.The St. Louis Blues have agreed to terms on a three-year, two-way entry level contract with Jordan.
Kyrou, a 2nd round pick in the 2016 NHL Entry draft registered 51 points – including 17 goals and 34 assists – in 65 regular season games last season. In 12 career OHL games with the club, the Toronto native has posted 2 goals and 11 assists for a total of 13 points.
“I want to come here and show them what I can do,” Kyrou said after the draft. “I think it was a good idea (to trade for me), so I’m going to show what I can bring to the table and do my best.”
Kyrou is the first non-first-round skater from the OHL selected in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft to sign a professional contract.
