Team Canada Wins Gold at the Under 18 World Cup

Breclav, Czech Republic – Team Canada finished off it’s dominance of the Under 18 World Cup on Sunday by defeating the Co-host Czech Republic 4-1in front of 4,000 on Czech ice in Breclav.

The win gave the Canadians a 5-0-0 record in the tournament, as they outscored their opponents 29-7 en route to the Gold Medal.

Sting forward Richard Clune captured his second Gold Medal in international competition as he chipped in with a goal and led the tournament in penalty minutes.

Sting Head Coach Shawn Camp, who served as an Assistant with Team Canada tasted Gold in international play for the first time.
