The Sarnia Sting’s 2014 Orientation Camp kicked off this morning with 34 players arriving at the RBC Centre, looking to make a strong first impression. Following an initial meeting with Sting Management and the Coaching Staff, players underwent fitness testing with the team’s personal trainer.
The afternoon scrimmage saw ten goals through three periods, two of which scored by First Overall Pick, Jakob Chychrun. The game finished with Team White edging out Team Black by a score of 7-3.
Following the scrimmage, members of the 2014 Draft Class, accompanied by their families, were presented with their Draft jerseys and caps and were introduced as the newest members of the Sarnia Sting.
Orientation Camp will resume tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. for the second of two scrimmages. Admission is free of charge.
