KNIGHTS ANNOUNCE DON BRANKLEY HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2025
The London Knights are proud to announce the two newest inductees to the Don Brankley Hall of Fame as the Class of 2025. The official induction ceremony and press conference will take place at Canada Life Place on Friday, February 7th at 4:00 PM.
Dave Hutchison

Dave Hutchison spent parts of three seasons with his hometown London Knights. Over the course of 107 games, Hutchison accumulated 335 penalty minutes as a physical shutdown defenceman. Drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round (36th overall), he went on to play four seasons after two years in the WHA.
Hutchison’s NHL career spanned 10 years, where he played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and New Jersey Devils, racking up 584 NHL games, 116 points, and 1,550 penalty minutes. After his playing days, Dave returned to London as an ambassador for the Knights and sat as a member of the board for the London Knights Alumni Foundation.
Dennis Ververgaert

Dennis Ververgaert was a member of the London Knights for three seasons (1970-1973). The high-scoring right winger had an impressive tenure, including 30, 40, and 50-goal seasons. In his final year, he was awarded the Jim Mahon Trophy as the OHA’s top-scoring right winger, with 58 goals, 89 assists, and 147 points—second in the OHA that season.
Ververgaert was drafted 3rd overall by the Vancouver Canucks in 1973, where he played for six years. He led all rookies in 1973-74 with 26 goals and was named to two NHL All-Star Games. Dennis later finished his NHL career with the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals, playing 583 NHL games and totaling 392 career points.
The event will be open to the media, followed by an on-ice ceremony prior to the start of the Knights’ game against the visiting Peterborough Petes.
