Frontenacs acquire draft pick in trade with Saginaw Spirit
The Kingston Frontenacs have completed a trade with the Saginaw Spirit.
Kingston will receive Saginaw’s 6th round pick in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection in exchange for overage forward Nick Wong.
Wong was originally acquired in a trade with the Oshawa Generals during the 2018-19 season. He would play in 90 games for the Frontenacs and record 22 goals and 25 assists during that time.
“We want to thank Nick for his contributions to the Frontenacs organization” said GM Kory Cooper. “This trade will allow Nick the opportunity to play out his OHL career as an OA (overage player). We wish him the best throughout the upcoming season in Saginaw.”
Kingston Frontenacs training camp is set to begin on August 30th. More details will be announced as they become available at www.kingstonfrontenacs.com and on our social media channels.
