FRONTS OUT-GUN 67’S
It was an explosive night for the Kingston Frontenacs offence as the Fronts out-gunned the Ottawa 67’s 7-4 on a rare Tuesday night game in Ottawa. Ryan Kujawinski opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game, but a pair of goals by Tyler Graovic put Ottawa out in front, but Mitchell Fitzmorris responded and pulled the Frontenacs even before the end of the opening period.
Kingston dominated the second period, scoring three unanswered goals from Cody Alcock, Warren Steele and Trevor Morbeck to open up 5-2 lead. Ottawa would score before the end of the second period and former Frontenac Michal “Big Mike” Cajkovsky made things interesting early in the third cutting the lead down to a goal at 5-4, but Spencer Watson found the back of the net with under five minutes to play and Marc Beckstead added an empty netter to secure the win for the Fronts.
Kingston will host a salute to the local heros troops this Friday night, when they welcome the Belleville Bulls to the K-Rock Centre.
