FRONTS HOST KITCHENER AT K-ROCK
The Black and Gold look to bounce back against the Rangers, ranked #1 in the OHL by the Hockey News in their pre-season publication, after a tough last weekend. Kitchener is blessed with seven NHL draft picks including three first round selections in Ryan Murphy (1-12th overall to Carolina Hurricanes 2011), Radek Faksa (1-13th to Dallas Stars 2012), and Matt Puempel (1-24th to Ottawa Senators in 2011). Also chosen to the Big League was goaltender John Gibson (2-39th to Anaheim Ducks in 2011), Mattia Marcantuoni (4th 2012 Pittsburgh), Ben Thomson (4th 2012 New Jersey) and Tobias Rieder (4th 2012 Edmonton). The Blue and Red currently sit in 6th in the West with a 3-2-0-1 record to start their season.
The Frontenacs with a 3-3 record, currently sit 8th in the Eastern Conference, but are just one point back of the Mississauga Steelheads in 6th.
