HAMILTON WITHIN STRICKING DISTANCE OF OSHAWA FOR FINAL PLAYOFF SPOT IN RETURN TO KINGSTON
There is no doubt the Kingston Frontenacs are off to a hot start to the 2015-16 season. In fact, the first-half of this season is the fourth best in franchise history. Even with three of their top players away at World Junior Selection Camps–Crouse, McKeown, and Lammikko–the Frontenacs have managed 15 points in their past 10 games, with 7 wins, 2 losses, and 1 overtime loss.
And while the Frontenacs are off to a flying start, the visiting Bulldogs are struggling to stay in touch with Oshawa for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. With 11 wins, 17 losses, and 3 overtime losses–good for 25 points–the Bulldogs are a team struggling to win. They have found some success this season against the Frontenacs, managing to muster a point in 2 of their 3 match-ups so far.
With 2 of those games needing extra time to settle the score, fans should expect a close game tonight, especially with the Bulldogs looking to get the 2 points to for a chance at making the playoffs. THE RETURN OF WATSON: Spencer Watson rejoins the Kingston Frontenacs lineup after missing last weekend’s back-to-back series in Kingston vs. Sault and Erie while he was at the Team Canada World Junior Selection Camp. Both Lawson Crouse (forward) and Roland McKeown (defence) are still in the selection process for the tournament, which begins on Boxing Day in Helsinki, Finland.
