
Brent played in the OHL for four seasons beginning in the 1996-1997 season. He spent his entire OHL career with the Oshawa Generals, helping lead Oshawa to a league championship in 1997. Brent possesses the rare feat of being drafted to the NHL twice. First in 1998 to Calgary in the 5th round, and then two years later to Dallas in the 6th round. Upon graduating from the OHL, Brent played several years of professional hockey making his way up to the AHL. Brent retired from professional hockey in 2011.
While playing professional hockey, Brent also achieved a university degree from Athabasca University majoring in Business Management. Brent began scouting for the Frontenacs in the 2018-2019, covering northern Ontario.
Brent works as a drug representative, and he enjoys configuring his scouting schedule to work with his professional work schedule. A lifelong resident of Sudbury, Brent still resides in the Nickel City with his wife Sarah and two children Ellie and Felix. In his spare time Brent enjoys camping, sitting by the campfire with friends and family, fishing, and exploring nature.
