On route to the final, Canada defeated Finland (7-1) and Switzerland (7-0) to advance to the championship against a strong Czechia team. Czechia won their grouping and defeated Haiti (8-0) and USA (7-1) to set up the finals matchup with Canada.

Jean-Philippe Moquin of Canada scored two goals in the final, and Josh Anderson scored the golden goal to give Team Canada the victory. On Josh’s goal, Jacob Holmes kept the ball in play to allow the golden goal to develop. Holmes finished the tournament with 5 goals in 7 games, proving to be a pivotal piece in Canada’s road to gold.
