Fronts This Week: Oct 9-15, 2023
This week, the Kingston Frontenacs are hitting the road for a series of games, facing off against the Windsor Spitfires, London Knights, and Niagara IceDogs on three consecutive nights.
Their journey commences at the WFCU Centre, where they will take on the Windsor Spitfires (1-4-0-0) on Thursday, October 12th at 7:05pm. The Spitfires have allowed the most goals in the league in their first 5 games, totaling 27 goals against. They are still managing to score at a rate of 3 goals per game, with Liam Greentree leading their offense with 8 points. The Frontenacs currently hold a record of 1-2-0-0 at the WFCU Centre and aim to even the score on Thursday.
The Frontenacs will be back in action the following day, Friday, October 13th, when they pay a visit to the London Knights (3-1-0-1) at Budweiser Gardens, with the game starting at 7:00pm. The Knights, leading the Midwest Division, have had a strong start to the season, and the Frontenacs will need to find a way to slow them down. Leading the Knights in scoring are Denver Barkey, Sam Dickinson, and Max McCue.
Finally, the Black and Gold will conclude their road trip with a third consecutive game on Saturday, October 14th, against the Niagara IceDogs (0-3-1-0). The puck will drop at 7:00pm at the Meridian Centre. Although the IceDogs currently sit at the bottom of the Central Division, they are known for their competitiveness on home ice. Over the past 5 seasons, Kingston holds a 4-4-0-0 record against Niagara at the Meridian Centre.
