Frontenacs Announce Change to Coaching Staff
Kingston Frontenacs General Manager Kory Cooper, has announced Monday that Head Coach Luca Caputi has been relieved of his duties.
“Today was a difficult day coming to this decision to relieve Luca of his duties. After meeting with ownership, we believe this was a necessary move for this hockey club. We have extremely high expectations for the group we have in place and we want to provide them with every opportunity to be successful”, said Cooper.
Luca Caputi led the Frontenacs to a 72-67-5-3 record during his time behind the bench in Kingston, who are currently sitting 7th in the OHL’s Eastern Conference.
Cooper continues: “We would like to thank Luca for his passion and dedication to the Kingston Frontenacs organization over his years with the team and we have no doubt that he will be successful in his future endeavors.”
The Kingston Frontenacs will be in action this upcoming Friday, October 27th for Hockey Fights Cancer Night to take on the visiting Oshawa Generals, before heading to Mississauga to play the Steelheads on Saturday, October 28th.
