Frontenacs Acquire Overage Forward Cedrick Guindon From Owen Sound
The Kingston Frontenacs have completed a trade with the Owen Sound Attack to acquire overage forward Cedrick Guindon for future OHL Priority selections.

Guindon is a 5’ 10”, 170 lbs. forward from Rockland, ON. He has spent all three of his OHL seasons with the Owen Sound Attack appearing in 204 regular season games. His 78 goals and 107 assists for 185 points put him at nearly a point per game average throughout his career. Cedrick has scored at least 22 goals in each of his three seasons in the OHL. He also brings playoff experience to the roster. In 15 career playoff games, Guindon has 3 goals and 10 assists.
“As an overage player with more than 200 games in the OHL, Cedrick brings valuable leadership qualities to our team.” said General Manager Kory Cooper. “He is gifted offensively, with exceptional goal scoring and playmaking abilities. His high compete level contributed to him being drafted by the Montreal Canadiens, and we are happy to add a player with those qualities”
The Montreal Canadiens selected Cedrick in the 4th round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. During the 2023 Prospects Challenge last September, Guindon scored his first goal in Canadiens colors as part of a 4-1 win over the Boston Bruins prospects in Buffalo.
“Cedrick can also be relied on in the defensive zone, which gives us the ability to use him in a variety of situations. Our analytics have him as a high value player that complements our top six forwards extremely well. Cedrick is a great fit for us, and we are excited to have him in Kingston.”
