Homecoming
Kingston Frontenacs forwards Gage Heyes and Nathan Poole return to their hometown of Oshawa to play in front of family and friends. The pair connected on the game-winning goal for the Frontenacs on Friday, September 29th. Gage Heyes found Nathan Poole in front of Oshawa’s net late in the third period. Poole showed great patience in close and beat Jacob Oster to provide the Fronts with the win.
Penalty Kill Specialists
The Kingston Frontenacs penalty kill units shutdown Oshawa’s attack on Friday night. The Gens went 0 for 4 on the powerplay and Kingston’s defence deserves credit for how hard they played while short handed. The Frontenacs will look to continue this success today to give themselves the best chance to win.
Powerplay Surging
Through two games this season, the Kingston Frontenacs are operating at a 27.27% scoring rate on the powerplay. The Black and Goal have found the back of the net on the man advantage in both of their games so far this season. Being able to capitalize on the man advantage when given opportunities is a winning recipe.
Get the Crowd Out of It
Tonight, the Oshawa Generals will be kicking off their home schedule and they will have a rowdy fan base hungry for the return of hockey in their barn. The Frontenacs will want to get off to a good start and attempt to take the crowd out of the game.
Balanced Attack
The offensive attack of the Frontenacs has been balanced so far this season. With two games in the books, the Fronts have 6 players scoring goals and 14 different players already registering a point this season.
