Fast Five: Kingston at Niagara
The puck drops at the Meridian Centre tonight at 7:00pm. The Kingston Frontenacs (3-4-0-0) will wrap up their 3-game road trip when they visit the Niagara IceDogs (0-3-2-0). The Frontenacs hold a 1-1-0-0 record on their current road trip and they will look to travel home on a high note.
The Kingston Frontenacs and Niagara IceDogs have gone toe-to-toe 16 times over the past five seasons. The Fronts hold a slight advantage with a 9-7-0-0 overall record during that span and they sit at 4-4-0-0 at the Meridian Centre.

Rebound Game
It’s no secret, last night was not a great showing for the Black and Gold. The team will need to put the game in their rear view mirror and focus on today’s task of getting back in the win column.
Power Outage
The Frontenacs will look to regain their touch on the power play. The team started the 2023-24 season scoring at least one PP goal in each of their first 5 games. The unit has since gone 0/10 in their past 2 games. The power play needs to get back on track and capitalize on the opportunities provided.
Fronts to Watch
Chris Thibodeau scored Kingston’s lone goal last night on his birthday, giving him 4 goals and 2 assists in his last 3 games. Ethan Miedema currently sits two points away from 100 points in his OHL career. Gage Heyes is sitting at 3 points through the two games played this weekend. The forward is making a case to be the Performer of the Week.
Don’t Sleep on the Dogs
Although the IceDogs are winless this season, their record doesn’t tell the whole story. Niagara kicked off the season with back-to-back games against London (5-1-0-1) and followed those games up with Mississauga (5-1-0-0). Both those teams a tops of their divisions. The following two games ended in overtime defeats to the Barrie Colts and Erie Otters. They have shown that they are fully capable of playing a full 60 minutes.
Behind Enemy Lines: Niagara IceDogs
Currently the IceDogs have a log jam for their leading points leader on the season. Zakary Lavoie, Alex Assadourian, Mike Levin and Rookie Ryan Roobroeck are all tied for the team lead in points with three each. The IceDogs have scored 11 goals so far this season while surrendering 19.
