22/23 Player Spotlight: Ivan Zhigalov
Ivan Zhigalov had his name called twice in eight days during the summer of 2022. On July 1st, he became a member of the Kingston Frontenacs via the CHL Import draft. Eight days later, it was the Colorado Avalanche using a 7th round pick to select the Belarusian goaltender. He reported to Frontenacs training camp and immediately became a factor. Regularly appearing in the highlight reel, Ivan’s play gave the Frontenacs a chance to win on a nightly basis. He wrapped up the season with 16 wins and 1222 saves. On and off the ice, Ivan provided the fans with memorable moments all season long.
