Ludwinski selected 39th by Blackhawks in 2022 NHL Draft
Kingston Frontenacs are proud to have Paul Ludwinski taken by the Chicago Blackhawks with the 39th pick at todays NHL Entry Draft. Ludwinski is the second Kingston player drafted, following Shane Wright’s 4th-overall selection to Seattle.
Ludwinski completed a fantastic rookie season with the Fronts in 2021-22. The dynamic forward (16G, 27A) registered 43 points, tops for Kingston freshman. He was named the OHL’s Rookie of the Month for April where he had 10 points in eight games and was a participant in the CHL Top Prospects Game.
The Pickering, ON native led all rookies in post-season scoring with seven goals and tied for second most with 12 points during Kingston’s 11 game playoff run.
Winning a bronze medal for Team Canada at the 2019-20 Youth Olympic Games, the 5-foot-11, 175 pound high-energy player was taken by Kingston with the 5th pick at the 2020 OHL Priority Selection from the Toronto Marlboros.
