Winterhawks Sign Dawson Pasternak
The Portland Winterhawks are proud to announce the signing of prospect Dawson Pasternak. The 2003-born forward is enjoying a strong season with the Sioux Falls Power U16 team in the NAPHL.
“Dawson’s had a great start to his season and we believe he’s going to be an impact player in this league,” Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Mike Johnston said.
Portland drafted the Winnipeg, Manitoba native in the fourth round, 85th overall of the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft. Through 32 games this season, Pasternak leads his team with 13 goals and 37 points. Prior to this year, Pasternak played defense for the Winnipeg Hawks Bantam organization and produced over a point-per-game in his bantam career.
He won the 2018 Winnipeg Bantam AAA Championship and is set to play for Team Manitoba at the 2019 Canada Winter Games.
