Winterhawks recall Cohen Massey to active roster
The Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club today recalled defenseman Cohen Massey from the White Rock Whalers (PJHL) to the team’s active roster as an affiliate player.
Massey, 17, made his WHL debut in two games with the Winterhawks at the start of this season before being reassigned to the White Rock Whalers of the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL). There, he ranked sixth in team scoring with 32 points in 31 games during the regular season, and scored one goal in four playoff games this spring. Originally selected by Portland in the ninth round, #191 overall, of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft, Massey signed with the team on Sept. 19, 2022.
