THREE WARRIORS HEADING TO NHL COMBINE
Dylan McIlrath, Quinton Howden and Kendall McFaull will be among the top 100 players heading to Toronto for the annual NHL Scouting Combine. The Combine, which will run May 24-29, is an opportunity for teams to meet and interview prospects, as well as see them tested in an off-ice setting.

Dylan McIlrath (ranked 17th) has been preparing for the Combine since the Warriors season ended. “I’ve been training at a gym 5 days a week with combine specific exercises that simulate many of the things I will be doing next week,” said McIlrath. The Combine gives the NHL team’s one last chance to see the top prospects—Dylan hopes to make a lasting impression. “I am hoping to put my best foot forward and give the teams that extra incentive,” added McIlrath. “It will be good to see Quinton and Kendall again along with many of the other players I have come to know, I’ll be wishing all the guys good luck in June,” he said.

Quinton Howden (ranked 19th) has had a busy spring, heading to Belarus for the U-18 Championships in April only weeks after the Warriors season ended. Although a disappointing finish for Team Canada, Quinton stood out at the tournament and seen it as a valuable learning experience. Howden has been training, while also fitting in helping to coach his younger brother’s hockey team in a tournament in Minneapolis. Quinton will certainly be ready for one last showing next week.

Warrior’s defensemen, Kendall McFaull (ranked 71st) is set for the combine. “I’m very excited and have been working on being prepared both mentally and physically,” he said. “I have been skating up in Saskatoon with the Contacts and have been working very hard,” added McFaull. What does Kendall hope to show the scouts in Toronto? “I really want to prove that I can compete and give it my all; I am just going to be myself,” said McFaull.
