The Moose Jaw Warriors are excited to continue their partnership with Winmar to promote Moose Jaw Special Olympics.

Throughout the course of the season, the Moose Jaw Warriors will get involved Special Olympics athletes in the Friendly City by taking part in a number of different activities.

The partnership began in 2015 when current New York Ranger Brett Howden wanted to get involved and bring awareness to Moose Jaw Special Olympics.

“It’s an honour for me and the Warriors to be able to spend time with our local Special Olympians. These athletes are an inspiration, they play with heart and desire, their love of sports is second to none,” said Howden. “Thank you as well to Winmar for working with us to bring more awareness to Moose Jaw Special Olympics and to give these athletes the recognition they deserve.”

Once a month the Warriors and Winmar honour the “Winmar Moose Jaw Special Olympics Athlete/Team of the Month” before a Warriors home game. These athletes receive a personalized Warriors jersey and take part in a ceremonial face-off.
