Snowbird Night takes flight on March 19
The Moose Jaw Warriors are excited to announce that their annual Snowbird Night will be held Saturday, March 19 and will feature special edition jerseys in honour of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, 431 Air Demonstration Squadron.
“We are really excited to bring back our Snowbird Night in 2022,” commented Warriors, Director Business Operations Jaret Schneider. “It has been a few seasons since we have been able to host the squadron and it is always a great night for everyone. The Snowbirds are a big part of the Moose Jaw community and to be able to come together with them is very important to us.”
Beginning on Monday, March 14 at 9:00 am MST, game-worn jerseys of Captain Daemon Hunt, Ryder Korczak, Denton Mateychuk, Brayden Yager, Jagger Firkus, and Carl Tetachuk will be available through a special online auction at www.thecrushedcan.com. This online auction will close on Sunday, March 20 at 8:00 pm MST. Bids for this special auction will only be accepted online.
On Saturday, March 19, the entire team’s game-worn jerseys, including additional jerseys of the previously mentioned six (6) players, will be available through a silent auction which will be running on the concourse of Mosaic Place. This auction will begin when doors open at 6:00 pm MST and will close when the puck drops at the beginning of the third period. Similar to the “Hockey Fights Cancer” game night, fans will be able to take advantage of the “Buy it Now” option for the silent auction.
Net proceeds from the auctions will go to “Support Our Troops”, which helps members, veterans, and their families overcome extraordinary challenges as a result of military service.
The special edition Snowbirds Night jerseys will be unveiled Monday, March 14 when the online auction goes live.
