Manitoba duo commits to Warriors and WHL
The Moose Jaw Warriors are excited to announce that 2017 draftees Calder Anderson (LC) and Cory King (RD) have committed to the Warriors and the WHL by signing a Standard Player Agreement.
King, 5’9”, 160lbs, is from Souris, Manitoba and was selected by the Warriors in the 5th round (98th overall) at the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft. King is currently playing midget AAA with the Southwest Cougars and has two goals, 13 assists, and 15 points in 16 games this season. In October King was part of Team Manitoba at the 2017 WHL Cup and brought home a bronze medal. Last year he played bantam with the Southwest Cougars (WDB1) and had 15 goals, 34 assists, and 49 points in 35 games.
Anderson, 5’9”, 155lbs, is from Brandon, Manitoba and was selected in the 7th round (134th overall) at the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft. Anderson is playing with his hometown Brandon AAA Wheat Kings and has nine goals, 15 assists, and 24 points in 19 games. Anderson played bantam last season with the Brandon Wheat Kings (WBD1) and had 26 goals, 53 assists, and 79 points in 36 games.
