TIGERS GET REVENGE AGAINST WHEAT KINGS

WHL GAME SUMMARY  –  TIGERS WEBTV HI-LITES

Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers avenged an earlier season loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings with a 7-1 win against their rivals from the East.

With the win, the Tigers now head out on their Western Conference road trip on a five game win streak.

Leading the way for the Tigers was forward Linden Vey (2G, 3A), who posted his second five point night of the season. The fourth year Tiger now leads all WHL players in points with 43.

Medicine Hat opened the scoring as Reid Petryk scored his first of the season to give the Tigers the early lead that they would never give up.

Also scoring for the Tigers were forwards Emerson Etem, Ryan Harrison and Tyler Pitlick with a pair. 

For the Tigers, it was the third straight game they have held their opponents scoreless heading into the 3rd period.  Goaltender Deven Dubyk (6-2-0-0) stopped 22 of 23 shots for the win.

The Tigers (14-7-1-0) now get ready for a lengthy road trip through the U.S. Division starting this coming Saturday night against the Everett Silvertips.  Game time is 7:05 PM (PST) and can heard live on CHAT 94.5 FM at tigershockey.com or watched via webcast at livestream.whl.ca.  The Tigers will depart Medicine Hat on Thursday, November 25th and will visit all five U.S. Division teams and then make their way back through Cranbrook, BC to face the Kootenay Ice before returning home.
