Hurricanes Earn Overtime Victory Against Tigers
WHL GAME SUMMARY – TIGERS TV HIGHLIGHTS
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday night at the Enmax Centre.
The Hurricanes, ranked last in the Eastern Conference, scored three unanswered goals to earn their second victory over the Tigers this season.
With the single point, the Tigers (23-11-3-4) move into third place in the Eastern Conference standings, one point ahead of the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Forward Matt MacKay opened the scoring for the Tigers with his 15th goal of the season. Tigers' rookie Emerson Etem gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead heading into the 2nd period, scoring his 28th goal of the season.
Medicine Hat goaltender Tyler Bunz (19-9-3-2) stopped 24 of 27 shots in the loss.
The Tigers were 1 for 6 on the power play, while holding Lethbridge scoreless on four man advantages.
