Silvertips trade Clarke Schaefer to Swift Current for Brendan Rudolph
EVERETT, Wash. — The Everett Silvertips have acquired forward Brendan Rudolph from the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for forward Clarke Schaefer and a fourth-round pick in the 2030 WHL Draft.
Rudolph, an ’08-born Calgary, AB native, has two goals and one assist through eight games this season. The 6-foot-0, 192-pound forward spent the 2025-26 season split between Swift Current and Seattle, racking up 16 total goals with 15 assists for 31 points in 65 games played.
Rudolph is a product of Calgary IHA U17, where he earned a CSSHL U17 championship in 2023-24 and was named CSSHL MVP, Playoff MVP, First-Team All-Star and Most Sportsmanlike Player.
“We’re excited to add Brendan’s experience and tenacious play to our group,” commented general manager Mike Fraser. “He is familiar with this division and how we do things in Everett.”
Schaefer departs the Everett Silvertips as an integral member of the 2025-26 Ed Chynoweth Cup Champion squad, accumulating 10 goals, eight assists and 85 PIM in 34 games played before an upper-body injury prematurely ended his season in January. He returned to the lineup this fall, skating in five games with 13 PIM.
“Clarke has been a great Silvertip the past few seasons,” added Fraser. “We wanted to give him a fresh start in Swift Current. We thank him for everything he’s done for our organization and in the Everett community.”
