Sam Steel has Career Night to Lead Pats Past Red Deer Sunday
Sam Steel set a career high in points with five and the Pats scored three times shorthanded in a 7-2 win over the Red Deer Rebels at the Brandt Centre on Sunday night. Steel either scored or assisted on each of the Pats first five goals in the contest. Austin Wagner made his season debut and scored the teams seventh goal of the night while Tyler Brown picked up his first win by making 30 saves. The victory was Regina’s third straight and pushed their record to 3-0-1-0 on the season. They return to action Friday at home to the Kootenay Ice at 7 p.m.
