Pats sign defenceman Jake Johnson
The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they have signed 15-year-old defenceman Jake Johnson to a Standard WHL Player Agreement.
Johnson (5’10, 186), from Scottsdale, Arizona was drafted by the Pats in the 10th round of the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
“We are thrilled with Jake choosing Regina,” said Pats VP of Hockey Operations and GM John Paddock. “We look forward to his future with our organization.”
Johnson played the last two years with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes Bantam team, recording a goal and 12 assists in 21 games. He is set to play this season with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes U15 of the T1EHL U15 league.
The Pats are back in action on Friday in Swift Current against the Broncos at 7 p.m. on 620 CKRM. Next home game is Saturday at 7 against the Brandon Wheat Kings. Tickets are available at reginapats.com, the Brandt Centre Box Office and at any Regina Safeway where Fun Zone Tickets are $13 plus tax.
