Regina, Saskatchewan – The rookies were back on the ice to start day two of the 2016 Regina Pats Training Camp. Team White took on Team Navy for a third time. Navy won the first two matchups on Day One.
The opening frame was scoreless with White leading in shots on goal 15-12. The period ended 2-1 White on a marker for Luc Masse. Duncan Pierce tied it up for Navy in the third. It did not last as Logan Nijhoff got the pull ahead goal and that is how things would end.
As was the case on Day One, the vets took to the ice in practices following the rookie scrimmage.
The afternoon scrimmages started with the rookies: Team Navy and Team White meeting for a fourth time. The teams traded goals early on from White’s Kjell Kjemhus and Navy’s Spencer Weinkauf. White took the lead into the intermission after Miguel Tetreault buried the puck in the net. In the middle frame, White’s Bryan Lockner gave his team a 3-1 lead. Navy responded with two-in-a-row from Cole Muir and Duncan Pierce to pull even. Navy could get no closer in the third. White got goals from Bryan Lockner and two from Tristen Robins for the 6-3 victory.
