2016 WHL Bantam Draft Recap
Calgary, Alberta – The Regina Pats Hockey club added nine new prospects to the organization Thursday in Calgary at the WHL Bantam Draft. Eight players (five forwards, three defencemen) were drafted by the club over eleven rounds. One was added via trade with the Everett Silvertips.
With only one pick in the top sixty, the Pats started things out in the second round by picking in the second round. Here’s the full list of players drafted by the Pats:

The Blue and White also swung a deal with the Everett Silvertips to acquire the WHL playing rights for prospect forward Nick Henry (’99) in exchange for a sixth round pick. The Portage la Prairie, MB native posted 61 points in 50 regular season games with the Portage Terriers on the way to being named the 2016 MJHL Rookie of the Year.
