Lead Up: Pats vs Red Deer
Colton Jobke’s first game back in Regina was an eventful one with a Gordie How Hat-Trick. The new Pats Captain scored the first goal of the evening and assisted on Chandler Stephenson’s winner with only 15.4 seconds left on the clock. The back and forth affair featured 14 powerplays in the contest, but no powerplay goals as the penalty kills dominated the evening. Stephenson’s clutch goal gave the Blue and White their second win in a row.
Unlikely Leader
Trent Ouellette is looked upon to provide energy and strong two-way play for the Pats. In 2012-13 he’s providing a lot more, leading the Pats in points through seven games with eight points (3G, 5A).
Donning the ‘C’
Colton Jobke was named the new Pats Captain last night and took it to heart. He had two points in his first game with the Pats this season and was a big part of the penalty kill that took care of six disadvantages.
Star Player
Chandler Stephenson picked up his second First Star nod in a row with a one goal, one assist performance against Red Deer… his second multi-point game in a row.
