Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats (36-27-3-5) beat the Swift Current Broncos (24-37-7-3) 5-4 in overtime before a sold out crowd at the Brandt Centre on Friday night.

Game Story
The Regina Pats closed out their regular-season home schedule with a win versus Swift Current, 5-4, in overtime. The winning goal came ten seconds in to the extra period thanks to a Connor Hobbs slap shot. With the win, Regina moves into third place in the East Division, one point up on the Moose Jaw Warriors.
This one was scoreless through period one. The Pats got three goals in the second, in a four and a half minute span, to take a three nothing lead. Regina’s markers came from Sam Steel, Austin Wagner, and Chase Harrison. Swift Current got one goal from Artyom Minulin.
In third, with Regina leading 3-1, the visitors would make this game interesting scoring three straight, in about five minutes, beginning at the 10:41 mark to pull ahead 4-3. Jamal Watson, Calvin Spencer and Colby Sissons all scoring for the Broncos. Undaunted, Riley Woods pulled the home team even at the 19:04 mark to send the game to overtime where Hobbs would get the game winner.
The league’s leading scorer, Adam Brooks, was a factor in every Regina goal recording five assists.
