Pat Chat December 8th
The Week That Was
Last week saw the Pats stay white hot as they took four points from the Eastern Conference leading Brandon Wheat Kings. Wednesday night in Regina saw Pavel Padakin score his third straight “Teddy Bear Goal” and the Pats take a 4-2 win over the Wheat Kings. Sam Steel had a pair of goals in the win. After a day off, the teams resumed hostilities in Brandon Friday night. The Pats got two goals from Adam Brooks including the game winner nine minutes into the third period. The Blue and White held onto the 3-2 score for their first win in Brandon since the 2012-13 season. Daniel Wapple stopped 58 of 62 shots in the two wins in the week after being named the Goaltender of the Month for November.
The Week Ahead

The Pats heavy road schedule continues leading toward Christmas. Their latest trip takes the Blue and White to Swift Current to take on the Broncos. Coming into the week, Swift Current is three points back of the Pats for second in the East Division with the Pats holding three games in hand.
Saturday, December 13th – Pats at Saskatoon (7:05 p.m.)
Another two game week closes in Saskatoon against the Blades. It’s just the second time the Pats and Blades have met this year with the Pats taking the first meeting. Tune in to this week’s road games on 620 CKRM or WHL Live Web TV starting 25 minutes before puck drop.
Special Delivery
The Pats head out to Regina care centres tomorrow to deliver the plush toys Pats fans tossed to the ice at Wednesday’s Teddy Bear Toss presented by Southland Mall and Global Regina. Fans threw 1075 toys after Pavel Padakin scored the third “Teddy Bear Goal” of his WHL career. The toys remaining after the Pats’ delivery will be donated to the Salvation Army.
