Eastern Conference Semi-Final Game Two Preview
Regina, Saskatchewan – Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats (4-1) and Brandon Wheat Kings (5-1) go head-to-head in the second game of their Eastern Conference Semi-Final matchup at Westman Place (6:30 p.m. MST) in Brandon. The Wheat Kings have a 1-0 series lead after beating Regina 5-1 on home ice last night. Taylor Cooper scored for the Pats. Adam Brooks and Patrick D’Amico both lead the Pats with six points. Tune into tonight’s game on 620 CKRM starting at 6:05 p.m. MST
With five of the eight regular season meetings between the two clubs being decided by two goals or less, the Regina Pats know they can compete against the Wheat Kings.
“We just have to do a better job of not turning the puck over and giving them the odd man rushes through the neutral zone,” said Assistant Coach Darrin McKechnie.
The Blue and White will have to finish on their opportunities. With multiple scoring chances in the first and early second, the visiting Pats could have turned the momentum in the game by finding the back of the net.
