Countdown to Training Camp
Training camp kicks off tomorrow!!
rRegina, Saskatchewan – The players are starting to file in as Regina Pats training camp 2010 is set to begin. The official registration date is this Friday night with the on-ice sessions beginning Saturday morning at 9am. All sessions are at the new Co-operators Centre and are free to the public.

Canada Winter Games;
rThe 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax, NS will be held from February 10-18, and the hockey competition will feature the top U16 players in each province. The current Regina Pat list and camp invitees took part in their province’s summer camps:

Pre-Season Action:
rThe Regina Pats will not waste any time heading into real WHL pre-season action. Friday, September 3rd, the blue and white will host the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7pm at the Co-Operators Centre with the return match 24 hours later at the Moose Jaw Civic Centre.

rNew Twist on an Old Classic:
rThe annual Regina Pats “Blue and White” game is set for Wednesday, September 1st at 7pm at the Co-Operators Centre. This year, the Pats will put on an all-rookie “Blue and White” game on Monday, August 30th.

rBig summer for a pair of Pats:
r17 year old defenceman, Myles Bell was one of 4 WHL players to put on the Team Canada colours at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka U-18 Championships. Canada defeated the United States 1-0 to win gold. 19 year old forward, Carter Ashton was at Canada’s World Junior Summer Evaluation camp in St. John’s Newfoundland this summer. He was one of the top forwards picking up a couple of goals and an assist in two inter squad games.

rRegina is very “Swede”
rThe Pats selected defenceman, and 2010 Philadelphia Flyers 7th rounder, Ricard Blidstrand at the 2010 CHL Import Draft. He joins fellow Swede, Hampus Gustafsson as the two import players on the Pats roster, the first time in the franchise history that the blue and white have two players from Sweden on the roster.
