RECAP: Pats Complete Four Game Sweep of Hitmen Thursday
The Regina Pats completed the four game sweep of the Calgary Hitmen on Thursday night with a 5-1 win in game four at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The two clubs skated to a scoreless first period but in the second the Pats got two goals from Austin Wagner and one from Dawson Davidson to lead 3-0 after two. In the third, Calgary got to within one but Regina got goals late from Connor Hobbs and Jeff de Wit to take the series with a 5-1 win. Tyler Brown made 20 saves on 21 shots, the Pats powerplay was four for six and the penalty kill two for three. Regina will await their second round opponent, the Swift Current Broncos or the Moose Jaw Warriors. Game ‘C’ and ‘D’ Pats playoff tickets for games one and two of the second round will go on sale Friday at 12 p.m. The will be available at reginapats.com or the Brandt Centre Box Office.
