PREVIEW: Pats Rematch Oil Kings
Edmonton, Alta. – The Regina Pats continue their Alberta road trip tonight inside Rogers Place as they take on the Edmonton Oil Kings at 8:00 p.m., Sask. Time.
The Pats enter tonight’s contest with a 10-12-1-1 record and 22 points, which is eighth in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pats are two points ahead of the ninth place Calgary Hitmen and three points up on the 10th place Red Deer Rebels. Meanwhile, the Edmonton Oil Kings come in at 6-15-0-1 with 13 points, sitting in 11th in the East, seven points back of a playoff spot.

The Regina Pats are coming off a 8-0 loss on Wednesday in Medicine Hat against the Tigers, as the club looks to snap their three game skid today as well as their six game road losing-streak. Despite getting three breakaways and several grade A opportunities in the first 30 minutes of the hockey game, the Pats fell 5-0 after 40 minutes of action, and were unable to climb their way back in.
The final shots were 35-23 for the Tigers, as they won their second in a row and tied the season series at one apiece. The Pats finished 0-1 on their power play and 0-2 on their penalty kill.
On the other hand, the Edmonton Oil Kings also look to snap their three game losing-streak as they are coming off a 5-3 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings at home on Wednesday. The Oil Kings got goals from Roan Woodward, Skyler Bruce and Gavin Hodnett in the loss. The score was once tied at one in the first before three straight goals by Brandon.
The final shots were 30-28 for the Oil Kings. Edmonton went 2-4 on their power play and 4-4 on their penalty kill.
