PREVIEW: Pats Host Cougars On Sunday Afternoon
Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats host the Prince George Cougars on Sunday at 4:00 p.m., inside the Brandt Centre for the Pats first Sunday home game of the season.
The Pats enter 8-5-1 on the season with 17 points while the Cougars come in 9-4-0 on the season with 18 points.

The Regina Pats are coming off a 5-3 win over the Saskatoon Blades on Friday, snapping a mini two game losing-streak. The victory marked the Pats fifth straight home win, as well as their sixth straight game with at least a point at home (5-0-1).
Jaxsin Vaughan had a career-high three points (1G-2A), Corban Almen scored twice, Tanner Howe tallied two points (1G-1A) and Kelton Pyne made 32 saves. Aaron Krestanowich and Corban Almen scored their first WHL goals, while Vaughan scored his first in 51 games (last was Oct. 7, 2022). The final shots were 35-28 for Saskatoon. The Pats went 0-0 on their power play and 3-4 on their penalty kill.
Meanwhile, the Prince George Cougars are coming off a 5-1 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday, as they began their five game Eastern Division road trip. The Cougars trailed 5-0 in the third before Zack Funk got them on the board. The final shots were 42-30 for the Warriors. Moose Jaw went 0-5 on their power play while Prince George went 1-3.
The loss snapped their two game winning-streak. The Cougars scored less than two goals in a contest for the first time all season. The Cougars have still scored 19 goals over their last four games.
