PREVIEW: Pats Host Blazers For First Time Since 2019
Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats begin their final homestand of the pre-Christmas schedule on Friday as they host the Kamloops Blazers at 7:00 p.m., inside the Brandt Centre.
The Pats enter Friday’s contest with a 11-15-1-1 record with 24 points, good for 10th in the Eastern Conference. The Blazers on the other hand come in 7-16-3-2 with 19 points, currently 11th in the West.

ABOUT TONIGHT
The first 1500 fans into the Brandt Centre tonight will receive a 2024 Regina Pats Calendar. Tonight we will be also raffling off a game worn 2022-23 signed Tanner Howe jersey.
Then on Saturday, the first 1000 fans into the Brandt Centre will get a Regina Pats Santa Hat. There will also be mystery pucks on sale, a Christmas Photo booth, along with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus in attendance.

The Regina Pats play the first game of back-to-back home games this weekend against B.C. opponents, as the Kamloops Blazers and Kelowna Rockets come to the Brandt Centre for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
The Pats are coming off a massive 6-5 shootout win over the Swift Current Broncos on Saturday which snapped the clubs season-long six game losing-streak. In a game that saw five different lead changes, the Pats came out on top with their ninth victory on home ice and 11th overall.
Sam Oremba gathered a career high three points (1G-2A) while also scoring the 2023 Teddy Bear Toss goal. Tanner Howe (1G-1A), Jaxsin Vaughan, Parker Berge and Tye Spencer rounded out the scoring, while Borya Valis picked up two assists. Howe scored the shootout winner and Kelton Pyne made 29 saves and stopped all three Broncos shooters in the shootout. The final shots were 35-34 for the Pats. Both teams finished 1-4 on their power plays.
The Blazers are beginning their five game Eastern Division road trip tonight in Regina where the club will play five games in eight days to finish their first half schedule. The Blazers are coming off a 6-3 loss to the Victoria Royals on Dec. 3 and have now lost their last two games with both losses coming to Victoria.
Kamloops got a two goal performance from Connor Levis, and Kai Matthew scored his first with the Blazers and in the WHL. Dylan Sydor finished with two assists. Dylan Ernst and Jesse Sanche split the action, as Sanche allowed five goals on 22 shots (36:29) and Ernst gave up one goal on four shots (23:31). The final shots were 28-26 for the Blazers. Kamloops went 1-5 on their power play and 1-2 on their penalty kill.
