Dylan Lebret | 2007 Defenceman | Shattuck St. Mary’s 18U Prep
Lebret, 17, produced 23 points (1G-22A) this past season. The Mead, Washington product notched 38 points (3G-35A) in 57 games in 2022-23 with Shattuck St. Mary’s and played for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings 14U AAA program in 2021-22, tallying 27 points (9G-18A) in 57 games. The 6-foot-1, 176 lb. right-shot defenceman was drafted by the Pats in the first round, third overall, in the 2022 WHL U.S Priority Draft.
“We had some looks at him at the Circle-K tournament, and I think if he did his part, there is a chance he can play in the league but as of now he’s committed to the NCAA route. But in these situations in hockey, things do change. Does he surface sometime down the road, for sure. He’s shown signs of being a WHL player and he strikes me as one of those players who needs a challenge where he has to play harder every shift, every game.” – Regina Pats Director of Scouting Dale McMullin.
Hudson Brehaut | 2007 Forward | Warman Wildcats U18 AAA
Brehaut, 16, tallied 30 points (12G-18A) in 44 games with the Wildcats this past season. The Whitewood, Sask. product played for the Rink Hockey Academy in Winnipeg U16 team in 2022-23, picking up 47 points (25G-22A) in 34 games. The 5-foot-8, 154 lb. left-shot forward was listed by the Pats in 2023.
“He’s a guy who skates very well, is a WHL type skater and has some feel with the puck. Now it’s just a case of do you want to arrive to pucks first and get to the middle of the ice. He’s a bit of an undersized player, but there’s things to like for sure. We have to see how it plays out, but he wants to be a Regina Pat. He’s a good kid, comes from a good family and we will see how it plays out at spring camp and main camp.” – Regina Pats Director of Scouting Dale McMullin.
Kristian Lacelle | 2007 Forward | Saskatoon Blazers U18 AAA
Lacelle, 16, recorded 22 points (10G-12A) in 36 games in 2023-24, as well as seven points in 10 playoff games, helping the Blazers to their second straight provincial championship. The Saskatoon, Sask. product totaled 27 points (12G-15A) in 31 games in 2022-23 with the Saskatoon River Kings U18 AA program, including 17 points (8G-9A) in 14 playoff games. The 5-foot-9, 165 lb. right-shot forward was listed by the Pats in 2023.
“He’s a straight line hockey player. He’s kind of like his teammate Dayton Deschamps. I don’t think it will matter what rink he plays in. He’s a bit of a hard nose kid, he doesn’t mind getting in the face of the opposition and plays hard. I think he can add an element to our lineup in time where he makes our team more difficult to play against.” – Regina Pats Director of Scouting Dale McMullin.
Connor Makowski | 2008 Forward | Okanagan HA Colorado 15U AAA
Makowski, 16, was third in his 15U AAA club in scoring, third in goals and second in assists this past season, scoring 50 points (25G-25A) in 48 games. The 6-foot, 181 lb. left-shot forward from Plano, Texas was listed by the Pats in 2023 after tallying 128 points (81G-47A) in 66 games with the Littleton Hawks 14U AA team in 2022-23.
“I think he’s a guy who has a chance. He’s a big body and we liked him last year. I think he understood that the training part of his development had to improve. He moves well and it will be up to him to have a good summer and all indications are that he’s coming to spring camp. If he does his part with a great summer of training, that gives him a chance in August.” – Regina Pats Director of Scouting Dale McMullin.
Kelsen Podworny | 2007 Forward | RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna U18
Podworny, 17, led RHA Kelowna’s roster in goals (20), while ranking second in points (48) and assists (28) in 30 games in 2023-24. In 2022-23, Podworny also led his team in points (47), goals (17) and assists (30) in 31 games With RHA Kelowna U17. Listed at 6-foot, 176 lb, the Onoway, Alta. product was drafted by the Pats in the ninth round of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft after recording 41 points (22G-19A) in 28 games with the Okanagan Rockets U15 AAA club.
“In the second half of their season, I felt he really took a step. He’s a crafty player with a good set of hands and good vision. He makes plays and makes others around him better. Jerome Iginla (RHA Kelowna head coach) used him in all major situations. He has an opportunity to go the other direction but their could be some changes that would allow him to get to our camp. We hope we can get him to spring camp so our staff can get a look at him, just to see where he’s at. He’s got the ability to play at our level. I don’t think he’s a bottom-six player, I think he has to play with skilled guys.” – Regina Pats Director of Scouting Dale McMullin.
Dayton Reschny | 2006 Forward | Tisdale Trojans U18 AAA
Reschny, 17, led the Torjans in goals (23), assists (35) and points (58) in 41 games in 2023-24, while also ranking fourth in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League in points and assists. The Macklin, Sask. product is the cousin of Victoria Royals forward Cole Reschny. The 5-foot-10, 161 lb. left-shot forward was listed by the Pats in 2023.
“This player has a chance to add some offence to the lineup. He sounds like he trains the right way and he goes back home and works with his cousin Cole Reschny. We just have to see where he fits when he gets to camp.” – Regina Pats Director of Scouting Dale McMullin.
