Celebration Zone to show tonight’s sold out Memorial Cup Championship game
The 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup Host Committee, together with the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), has announced that the Championship Game on Sunday May 27, 2018 is sold out.
Following the Regina Pats win in the semi-final game on Friday night, all remaining tickets were sold out in a record three minutes. The Host Committee is reminding fans that the game can still be viewed in the Celebration Zone, located at the EventPlex at Evraz Place.
“We knew that having the Regina Pats in the championship game would create high demand for tickets,” says Shaun Semple, Chair of the Host Organizing Committee. “We’ve seen some great hockey all week, and Sunday will definitely be a game that fans won’t want to miss.”
The Celebration Zone, offering full food and beverage services, will open its doors at 3:00pm. The featured band will be The Dead South, beginning at 3:30pm. Tickets are available online or at the door for $20 plus taxes and fees. The championship game will be shown live in the Celebration Zone, beginning at 5:00pm.
The Centennial Celebration Zone, located at the EventPlex at Evraz Place, has been a popular destination since opening night. The Host Committee is urging hockey fans to join in the fun and come down and take in the Regina Pats historic Mastercard Memorial Cup festivities as they go for the cup for the first time in 46 years. You don’t want to miss it!
