The Regina, Sask. product played for the Pats from 1971-1974, winning a Memorial Cup with the Pats in 1974. Drafted by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1974 NHL Draft, MacDougall played one NHL game for the Stars in 1974-1975 before the left-shot defenceman finished out his career in the IHL. Since, MacDougall has been a huge part of the hockey and farming community in Regina, hauling feed bales to his prize-winning sheep. Meanwhile, his son Peter, is an NHL referee.


Callander, a Regina, Sask. product, played for the Regiment from 1973-1976, helping the Pats become Memorial Cup champions in 1974. He went onto play in the NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers for parts of four seasons from 1976-1980. Now, Callander is a Saskatchewan scout for the Regina Pats, assisting Alan Millar with the WHL Prospects Draft.

Trapp played for the Pats from 1982-1985 and was the Pats captain in 1984-1985. Trapp was a second-round pick of the Buffalo Sabres in 1984. The Balcarres, Sask. product played two games for the Buffalo Sabres in 1986-1987 after parts of two seasons in the AHL with the Rochester Americans, where he won a Calder Cup in 1987. He is the son of former Pats scout and coach Barry Trapp.

Kane played for the Pats from 1994-1998 before playing parts of five seasons in the NHL split between the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals. The Swift Current, Sask product won three Calder Cup championships, two coming with the Hershey Bears (2006 & 2010) and one with the Philadelphia Phantoms (2005).

Mitchell was the captain of the Pats during the 2010-2011 season, and played for the Regiment from 2006-2011. Retiring from hockey following the 2022-2023 season, the Regina, Sask. product was a captain in the AHL for the final six seasons of his professional hockey career. On April 9. 2017, Mitchell played his one and only NHL game, dressing for the Washington Captials, an organization that he spent parts of eight seasons with.

Brooks recently just completed his second season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. Now signed to play in Germany for the 2024-25 season, the Winnipeg, Man. product played parts of four seasons in the NHL split between the Toronto Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets. Brooks is third all-time in Pats history in games played (317), sixth in assists (216), and 11th in points (335), while being one of seven players to record consecutive 120+ point seasons in franchise history. He played for the Pats from 2012-2017.

The Comox, B.C. product was the captain of the Pats from 2020-2022, and was a leader in the community, playing inside the Brandt Centre from 2017-2022. Nijhoff was awarded the 2022 Dayna Brons Honorary Award, which recognizes an individual from Canada’s hockey community who exhibits outstanding dedication towards patients who rely on blood and stem cell products in Canada. Having spent the last two seasons split between the ECHL and AHL, Nijhoff also spends his summers in Regina, and continues to be involved in the community.
