WORLD JUNIORS: Bedard, Canada Advance to Final
Edmonton, Alta. — Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard helped Team Canada defeat Czechia 5-2 on Friday afternoon, to advance to the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship Gold Medal Game.
Bedard scored his fourth goal of the tournament late in the first period on a snap shot, extending Canada’s lead to 2-0 at the time.

Bedard has recorded four goals and four assists for eight points in six contests.
Canada will play Finland, who defeated Sweden 1-0 in the other semifinal on Friday. The WJC Gold Medal Game is scheduled for Saturday evening at 6 p.m. MT.
The win for Canada means Pats defenceman Stanislav Svozil and Czechia will now play for bronze on Saturday at 2 p.m. versus Sweden.
