Pats to host Breast Cancer Awareness Night Saturday
The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they will be hosting their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Saturday when they host the Swift Current Broncos at the Brandt Centre.
The Pats are proud to partner with the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan (Foundation) for this year’s game.
Launched in January 2019, the Foundation is the fundraising partner of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. Every dollar raised stays in the province to support cancer patients going through treatment.
“As an organization, this game is one we really look forward to,” said Pats COO Stacey Cattell. “Cancer touches so many lives and being able to raise some money and awareness about this disease is important for the Regina Pats.”
The Pats will have a limited edition Pats Pink-themed jersey from the past available for jersey raffle, as well as two game worn pink helmets, signed by the entire team, that will be auctioned at the game on Saturday with all proceeds supporting the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.
“We can’t wait to share our story with the Regina Pats passionate fans, the Pats Regiment,” said Foundation CEO Nora Yeates. “We look forward to speaking with as many people as possible, encouraging them to share in their own words who they support through our “I Fight For” cards.”
For a donation anyone can show their support of the Foundation in honour or in memory of a loved one by writing their own message on an “I Fight For” card that will be displayed throughout the arena.
The Pats will also be selling pink breast cancer toques for $25 each and pink themed jerseys will be $45 on the concourse during the game.
The hockey club has raised more than $110,000 in the first 12 years of Breast Cancer Awareness nights. To purchase tickets to the game, visit reginapats.com or the Brandt Centre Box Office.
The Pats are back in action on Wednesday when they visit the Saskatoon Blades at 7 p.m. on 620 CKRM.
