Hurricanes Trade Scott Allan to Hitmen
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club have traded defenseman Scott Allan to the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for a seventh round draft pick in the 2017 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
Allan, 19, has been playing for the West Kelowna Warriors of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). In 35 games with the Warriors this season, Allan as collected 15 points (3g-12a) along with 48 penalty minutes.
The Thornton, Colorado product was acquired at last year’s trade deadline by the Hurricanes from the Seattle Thunderbirds for a fifth round selection in the 2016 draft. In 31 games with the ‘Canes, the 6’6” rearguard collected one assist with 33 penalty minutes. He has appeared in 93 WHL games with the ‘Canes, Thunderbirds and Medicine Hat Tigers.
The Hurricanes are back in action on Wednesday night when they travel to Swift Current to face the Broncos at 7:00pm.
