SEXSMITH, GIANTS SHUT DOWN TIGERS – Tyson Sexsmith stopped all 18 shots he faced to record his second shutout in four games and his third of the post-season as the Vancouver Giants blanked the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers 4-0 in Game 4 of the 2007 Western Hockey League Championship series on Wednesday, May 9th.

rWith the win, the Giants even up the best-of-seven Championship series versus Medicine Hat at two games apiece.

rMilan Lucic scored two power play goals for the Giants, who tallied all their goals in the third period, while Michal Repik and James Wright – with his third goal in his last three games – also counted in the victory. A.J. Thelen chipped in a pair of assists.

rMatt Keetley stopped 29 of 32 shots he faced through 56 minutes of action for the Tigers, who were held scoreless on five power play chances while conceding three goals on nine Vancouver power plays. Ryan Holfeld allowed one goal over the final four minutes of the third period in relief of Keetley.

rVancouver will host Medicine Hat for Game 5 of the 2007 WHL Championship series on Friday, May 11th at Pacific Coliseum (7:30 pm, PT; SHAW).
