GAME DAY: Hurricanes Welcome Up-Start Broncos
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Swift Current Broncos for the first of four meetings this year.
The Hurricanes (9-11-1-2) are coming off a come-from-behind 6-5 victory on Sunday in Portland against the Winterhawks. It was an offensive explosion for the ‘Canes who hadn’t scored more than three goals in their previous seven games. It was just the second time in their last 15 games they’d scored more than three goals in an outing. The win in Portland was the ‘Canes second straight after a five game losing streak. Tonight the Hurricanes will look to end a two-game home losing streak.
The Broncos (13-7-2-4) are coming off a 3-1 victory Wednesday night in Prince Albert against the Raiders for their second straight win. The Broncos currently sit second in the East Division with 32 points. Newcomer Ryan Graham, who was acquired on Monday from Saskatoon, has had an immediate impact for Swift Current as he’s netted six points in his first two games.
Tonight will be the first of two in a row for the Hurricanes who will play tomorrow afternoon in Calgary. It is also the Canes Crush Cancer night at the ENMAX Centre that includes a Toonie Toss in the second intermission.
