GAME DAY: Hurricanes Welcome Tigers in First of Home-and-Home
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers tonight at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre in the first of a home-and-home set.
The Hurricanes (27-30-3-1) are coming off a 6-4 loss on the Wednesday to the Swift Current Broncos. Yegor Klavdiev, Chase Pauls, Corson Hopwo and Miguel Marques scored in the losing cause while Bryan Thomson made 28-saves. The loss for the ‘Canes was their second straight home-ice defeat dropping their record to 14-13-2-1 at the ENMAX Centre this season.
The Tigers (11-46-3-1) enter on a five-game losing streak after falling 3-2 in Calgary to the Hitmen on Wednesday. Andrew Basha and Owen MacNeil scored in the defeat while Garin Bjorklund was tasked with 36-saves for second-star honour in the loss.. Medicine Hat has just two victories since the beginning of February and are 3-24-2-1 on the road this season.
Tonight will be the seventh of eight meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Tigers; Lethbridge has posted a perfect 6-0-0-0 record so far this season, outscoring Medicine Hat 22-9 in the three games at the ENMAX Centre.
