GAME DAY: Hurricanes Return Home; Face Tigers
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers in their first meeting of the season.
The Hurricanes (6-10-0-0) are coming off a 3-2 loss last Sunday in Moose Jaw to the Warriors. Ty Nash and Jett Jones scored the goals in the losing cause while Bryan Thomson made 25-saves. The loss ended a five-game road trip for the ‘Canes in which they posted a 1-4-0-0 record. Lethbridge has gone 4-3-0-0 at home this season as tonight begins a stretch of seven of nine games at home prior to the Christmas break.
The Tigers (4-7-3-1) enter on a seven-game losing streak after suffering a 4-3 overtime loss last Sunday in Calgary against the Hitmen. Ashton Ferster, Lukas Svejkovsky and Corson Hopwo scored in the defeat while Garin Bjorklund made an impressive 43-saves. Medicine Hat enters with a road record of 1-4-2-1 this season.
Tonight will be the first of eight meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Tigers as it is the latest into a season ever that the two teams will play for the first time.
