GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit the Tri Cities
Kennewick, WA – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will wrap up a mini two-game Washington State road trip tonight as they visit the Tri-City Americans at 8:00pm MT.
The Hurricanes are coming off a 5-3 victory last night over the Spokane Chiefs snapping a 13-year losing skid. Tyler Wong netted a three point night scoring twice while adding an assist. Giorgio Estephan had a two assist night while Stuart Skinner made 30 saves for the victory.
The win for the Hurricanes evened their road record to 1-1-0-0 on the season and improved it to 4-2-0-0 on the year.
The Americans are coming off a victory last night in Everett over the Silvertips. Tri-City enters play tonight 3-3-0-0 on the year.
The Hurricanes knocked off the Amerks in the lone meeting last year with a 5-3 win at the ENMAX Centre. Tune in to tonight’s game on 106.7 ROCK starting at 7:45pm MT with Dustin Forbes.
LAST GAME: 5-3 Loss at Spokane: The Lethbridge Hurricanes evened their road record on Friday night with a 5-3 win in Spokane against the Chiefs. Tyler Wong scored twice and added an assist in the victory. The ‘Canes chased former netminder Jayden Sittler en route to the win. The victory was the ‘Canes first in Spokane since February 12th, 2003.
AMERICANS: Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and Americans. The Hurricanes picked up a 5-3 victory over Tri-City on February 12th last year at the ENMAX Centre. Tyler Wong netted a hat-trick in that game. The Hurricanes will look to snap a lengthy losing streak, the ‘Canes have not won a game in Tri-City since 1999.
